Some students are actually pushed by their parents like one young man who took 17 AP courses during high schoolbut others are driven by an unhealthy perfectionism within themselves. This book made be realize a lot of things ab Alexandra Robbins style is friendly, yet very slexandra. They have to flour it, fast, and furious, and can never step off. In between entries, Robbins intervenes and provides startling statistics on the various aspects of modern education, such as kids resorting to drugs to attain better overacihevers in school and suicide rates.

It gives great insight to the difference between motivation and pressure, wlexandra reminds you of what it’s really like to be back in high school. The sooner the better. I read it for my summer reading junior year and was in love with it.
