Suffice to say it’s full of shocks and surprises. It was an earth power Kevin did not dare use, even in his despair before invoking the Ritual of Desecration because of its deadly power. Okay, so couldn’t you just kill yourself at that point, if it was truly so thhe to bear?

Well, the battles and battles and endless battles and strategy wasn’t as bad as I’ve read elsewhere, but it isn’t my cup of tea. While at Revelwood, Covenant notices that there is a distortion in the air that moves about. Yet, he does nothing with it. Centering the story on Troy with Covenant absent for so long weakens that plot device although Donaldson tries to reinforce it again at the end of the book.
While Troy leads the army to confront Fleshharrower’s attacking force, Elena and Covenant go in search of the Seventh Ward, a repository of ancient magical power which Elena believes will ensure victory. What you are left with is simply badly written, two dimensional, poorly thought out tripe.
